Will New Batteries Make Laptops Truly Mobile?

Written By:  on February 9, 2010 No Comment

Current or notebook computers have a
major obstacle to overcome: short battery life.

Despite their sleek style and more and more higher
Levels, have never been truly portable.
With from an average of about 3 to 5 hours of usable
Power, most are limited in the amount of time
they can be moved by the warm embrace of electric
a wall plug-in.

Like most laptop owners will confirm, out of powerwhen

My favorite movie is always registered high on the annoyance
Meters. In the jargon of today — it sucks big time!

Sure, things are improving, as the new technology are

But even in become smaller and more efficient,
short battery life is still a limiting factor for most

and you will see why laptop are in need
Overhaul.

Notebook manufacturers are no doubt aware of this issue and
can be relieved help is on its way. Actually, the solution is
the power of laptop has been called into questionhere.

Once again, new technology comes to the rescue.

Short battery life for and handheld for all electronic
Devices will probably be solved by two new sources of energy:
Micro-fuel cells and printable solar cells.

Micro fuel cells such fuels as alcohol or methanol
and provides ten times the power of conventional
with only 1:20 by weight. Perfect for
or notebook computer. It actually burns fuel
bequickly replenished only by filling the tank
or the exchange of fresh fuel cartridge. As everyone knows,
Charging a conventional battery lasts for hours, this
new battery takes only seconds to recharge, or rather
. refuel

One of the main leaders in this new technology with MTI
the Micro Mobion ® Cable-Free Power Pack, which is likely
Lithium-ion to replace. They use a direct-methanol —
Fuel Cells (DMFC). Expect that these creaturesalmost
22% of all of handheld devices by 2011. And if these new
Micro fuel cells are accepted by the buying public, you

Even more printable solar cells promises to the folds
can be made or wound, or into a laptop, which built
it is a renewable source of energy and power. One of the
Leaders in thisnew technology is Konarka. They produce
A flexible and lightweight photovoltaic plastics
that each unit will provide solar energy.

Sunlight is not always available, Konarka Technology
uses all kinds of light to produce as indoor light
electrical energy. These low-cost printable solar cells
would have many applications, including a source of

What we will probably see in the future, is a hybrid of
two technologies, micro-fuel cells and photovoltaic
Cells that give work in tangent laptop power source
Who never made. Unlimited power available everywhere,
anytime.

Micro-fuel cells and printable solar cells give
the freedom and the power they need in order to be used at any time, anywhere.
These new energy sources will eventually make the> Laptop really
portable. In addition, the Internet is truly wireless, mobile,
and from anywhere.

My first Apple was introduced in the late 80s. After that, since the mid-90s, I have remained faithful to Windows-based system, finally frustrated with constant conflict with the software. In December last year, this frustration led to my first purchase of laptop. I'm so glad it's one of Apple. I have no problems with mine. There...  Read more Apple MacBook Pro reviews
